Your 8 day Tanzania safari begins with your arrival in Arusha.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Serengeti Experience and transferred to your hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel or exploring Arusha.
In the evening, meet your safari guide for a briefing about your upcoming adventure. Your guide will explain the safari schedule, game-drive procedures, safety guidelines and what to expect during your journey through Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.
After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive towards Tarangire National Park.
The journey takes you through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania, with views of rural villages and changing scenery along the way.
Upon arrival at Tarangire, enter the park and begin your full-day game drive.
Tarangire is particularly famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees.
Drive to your lodge or tented camp near Tarangire, where you will enjoy dinner and relax.
Lake Manyara offers a completely different landscape from Tarangire, with groundwater forests, open grasslands, woodland and the alkaline lake.
Lake Manyara is also known for occasional sightings of tree climbing lions, although wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
The park is particularly rewarding for birdwatchers, with numerous species found around the lake and surrounding habitats.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during your game drive before continuing your exploration in the afternoon.
The journey takes you through the spectacular landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before continuing towards the Serengeti.
As you travel deeper into northern Tanzania, the landscape gradually opens into the vast grasslands for which the Serengeti is famous.
After entering the park, begin your game drive en route to your accommodation.
Depending on the season and location, you may encounter wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes and predators such as lions and cheetahs.
Arrive at your lodge or tented camp later in the afternoon.

The early morning is an excellent time for wildlife viewing, when many animals are active before the heat of the day.
Enjoy your final views of the Serengeti before beginning your journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The drive offers spectacular scenery as the endless Serengeti plains gradually give way to the highlands around Ngorongoro.
Arrive at your lodge on or near the crater rim in the afternoon.
Enjoy the spectacular views and peaceful atmosphere of the area.
Descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a unique natural ecosystem with a high concentration of wildlife.
The crater also offers opportunities to search for the Big Five, although wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive before beginning the ascent from the crater.
In the afternoon, drive back towards Arusha.
Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time to relax or explore Arusha before your departure.
At the appropriate time, your Serengeti Experience representative will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport for your onward flight.
